The estimated annual base salary range for this position in the United States is $125,000 - 165,572. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C's sales incentive plan or annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.Join Our Team as a C&I Territory Manager!Are you passionate about sales? S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to support our Northeast territory. As a C&I Territory Manager, you'll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team. The C&I Territory Manager is responsible for owning customer relationships and driving sales growth and market share within a defined geographic territory in the Commercial and Industrial Market (C&I Market). In this case, the territory will be Lower New York including New York City and Long Island, New Jersey and lower Connecticut. This individual must be able to specify, apply, market, and sell S&C's product portfolio and services to customers in this territory. Working across a customer base of end users, electrical contractors, C&I distributors and consulting engineers, the C&I Territory Manager fosters long-term profitable customer partnerships and provides sales engineering support to identify and implement solutions that meet customer needs. This role reports to the Regional Director, Northeast.Key Responsibilities:Create and execute sales plans and strategies for accounts in the assigned territory, detailing planned customer visits, major project planning, forecasted orders and strategic campaign activityCreate sales forecasts and budgets for the assigned customers in the territory, establishing a future pipeline of opportunities to successfully meet targetsBuild and nurture relationships with existing and prospective customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutionsIdentify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and lead generation activitiesWork with consulting engineers in the specifying of electrical equipment to best position products for successBe fluent with, and participate in, the bid process including interactions with consultants, contractors, distributors, and end users toward formulating successful project proposals and then assist with execution of those proposalsParticipate in the process of pricing and negotiating in the commercial/industrial/contractor marketEngage in start-up, training, and support associated with company's equipmentInterface with contractors and other key parties during the bid, approval, construction, and commissioning phases of a projectOversee a significant number of projects and initiatives at the same time due to the diverse customer base of distributors, contractors, consultants, and other C&I entities.Create proposals and presentations to promote and build momentum for sales opportunitiesUtilize consultative and insight selling techniques to progress, negotiate and close sales opportunities and secure/grow market shareRepresent S&C at industry events including trade shows, conferences, presentations, meetings and other related eventsConduct regular client meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations showcasing S&C's value proposition, product and service offeringsServe as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, concerns, and technical requestsCollaborate with C&I Applications Director to tailor solutions and address customer requirementsCollaborate with cross-functional teams (including sales enablement, marketing, applications etc.) to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of sales efforts with the regional sales planMaintain timely and accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline management using SalesforceGenerate regular sales reports, forecasts, and analyses as requested to track performance against targets and identify areas for improvementLeverage Salesforce reporting tools and dashboards to track sales goals and report to leadership on progressAttend and present updates at regional sales meetings providing comprehensive updates on high-priority activities, sales budgets, forecasts, sales plans, updates etc.Stay abreast of new product developments and emerging technologies to continuously enhance knowledge and expertiseProvide feedback to the Regional Director - Sales on market trends, competitive insights, and customer feedback to inform strategic decision-makingEntertain customers, as appropriate, in the evenings and on weekends to establish customer relationships necessary to effectively sell S&C's products and servicesTravel as needed to drive order creation, closure, customer engagement, tradeshows, and conferences, and provide off-hours business supportMaintain regular and punctual attendanceAttend in-person or virtual meetings as requested or requiredCommunicate effectively and respectfully with othersDrive a vehicle to conduct sales activitiesOther responsibilities as assignedWhat you'll Need To Succeed:Valid driver's license in good standing and clean driving recordDemonstrated experience in the C&I space including familiarity with the bid/project process, contractor/consultant/user interactions, project negotiationKnowledge of the application and operation of medium voltage electrical equipment, especially Metal-Enclosed or Metal-Clad SwitchgearResults-driven mindset with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving business growth, preferably within the electric power systems, engineering or technical manufacturing industryStrong knowledge of electrical power systems and MV distribution networksProven experience developing sales accounts and generating new business opportunities with an ability to synthesize customer needs with a product portfolioStrong financial acumen and numerical ability to create budgets, forecasting, tenders and sales proposalsSolid communication skills, (written, verbal, listening and presentation), able to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely and use creative and persuasive communication to influence a diverse range of stakeholders Excellent presentation skills, comfortable presenting to a variety of audiences, both small face-to-face interactions through large conferences and formal presentationsExcellent interpersonal skills to establish meaningful relationships and foster collaborative working relationships amongst diverse audiencesSolid business acumen, entrepreneurial approach, and analytical skills with the ability to use and analyze data to drive informed decisions, problem-solve complex issues and leverage data and learnings to drive continuous improvementProven experience in negotiating and closing complex, high-value deals Strong organizational, planning and project management skills, coordinating internal and external resources and juggling key account demandsThe ability to travel as requiredAn energetic team player and driven self-starter, with a positive mindset and excellent work ethic.Ability to operate with flexibility in a fast-paced environment to meet tight deadlines with resilience and intellectual flexibility.Preferred:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience) Demonstrated experience in CRM systems (Salesforce desirable) maintaining and leveraging data for reporting purposesProficient computer skills including experience using Oracle and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)Ready to make an impact and become an employee-owner?
