Location: Brighton, MI | Onsite | Full-Time

Base Salary: $110K-$120K + Commission (based on net profit)

About the Opportunity:

Looking for a seasoned Strategic Account Manager to strengthen and grow our relationships with General Contractor (GC) clients across the Michigan region. In this high-impact role, you'll serve as the go-to liaison for key accounts, coordinating closely with project managers, estimators, and field teams to ensure timely, on-budget project execution while keeping client satisfaction front and center.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with deep roots in the construction industry.

What You'll Do:

Serve as the main point of contact for general contractor clients, building trust, securing repeat business, and ensuring satisfaction Coordinate across departments (PMs, estimators, field teams) to deliver on client expectations and keep projects moving smoothly Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables; communicate updates and resolve client issues quickly Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and scope alignment with new and existing clients Collaborate with the estimating team to develop winning proposals that match client needs Develop new business opportunities, reconnect with former clients and pursue new GC relationships across Michigan Provide reporting to leadership on account status, risks, wins, and strategic opportunities Stay informed on competitor activity and local market trends to inform strategic growth Who You Are:

3-5 years of experience in account management, sales, or client relations within the construction or general contracting space Strong knowledge of construction processes, including estimating, bidding, project management, and scheduling Proven ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining excellent client communication and attention to detail Comfortable reading and interpreting construction drawings, specs, and contracts A proactive networker who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys building lasting business relationships Familiarity with CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and construction management platforms Bonus: A background with Michigan-based commercial GC subcontractors (e.g., Lee Industrial, Carmela)
