We are seeking a
Senior Transit and Rail Signals Lead
to join our Signals Group in the greater San Diego area. This role involves leading signal system design, review, and testing for transit and rail projects, requiring both office and field presence. Main Duties
Design and produce signal system plans, including ATCS, interlocking, block signals, highway crossing systems, and system integration. Create detailed construction plans and signal installation drawings. Review designs for compliance and functionality. Develop test and commissioning procedures, including use of simulators. Lead testing and commissioning teams for new signal systems. Qualifications
Required
Extensive knowledge of signaling principles, including automatic and cab signaling. Understanding of Boolean algebra in signal logic. 10-20 years of experience in railroad signals environment. Knowledge of PTC systems and federal regulations. Minimum 10 years of progressive signal system design experience. Preferred
Bachelor’s in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field. Master’s degree or higher. Experience working at a rail or transit agency. PE license or ability to obtain one. PMP certification. This full-time position requires residence in the greater San Diego/Orange County area for field work and collaboration. SYSTRA offers a comprehensive benefits package.
