Technical Artist II

on the R&D Technical Art Team, you will support artists with shaders, materials, and art asset prototypes to realize their work in-game. You will collaborate with all departments from modeling to VFX to ensure assets meet technical pipeline standards. Your role includes standardizing and enhancing development processes for assets, materials, shaders, LODs, and interactions. Responsibilities:

Support artists with look development related to shaders and materials Provide technical support and collect data to improve artist tools Collaborate with production to develop strategies for maintaining and evolving art workflows Build strong relationships with artists and engineers to understand needs and lead tool and pipeline development Maintain and extend core shader functionalities and libraries Assist artists in debugging lighting (realtime and baked) Required Qualifications:

3+ years of professional experience as a technical artist in games or related industries Experience with Unity/Unreal workflows and best practices Experience in mobile and AAA game development Strong art skills with understanding of modeling, shaders, texturing, and lighting Desired Qualifications:

Expertise in content creation and tool development in Maya, Photoshop, Substance Designer/Painter Experience with stylized content pipelines and understanding of tradeoffs made historically Knowledge of camera and lighting techniques, including exposure, LUTs, lenses, etc. Success in this role requires craft expertise, collaboration, and decision-making focused on player experience.
