Position Summary Arch Insurance Group Inc., AIGI, has an opening with our Claims Division on the Professional Liability Team, focusing on Architects and Engineers. The responsibilities include actively managing a caseload of commercial accounts for Architects and Engineers, supporting jurisdictions throughout the United States. Responsibilities Identify and assess coverage issues, draft coverage position letters, retain coverage counsel when necessary, and review coverage counsel's opinion letters and analysis. Develop and implement strategies related to coverage issues aligning with the overall strategy of the entrusted matters. Develop and execute timely and accurate resolution strategies to mitigate indemnity and expense exposure. Maintain contact with the business line leader, underwriters, defense counsel, program managers, and brokers to communicate developments and outcomes as necessary. Investigate claims and review insureds' materials, pleadings, and relevant documents. Identify and review applicable statutes, rules, and case law for each jurisdiction. Analyze and direct risk transfer, additional insured issues, and contractual indemnity issues. Retain and direct counsel as needed, in accordance with resolution strategies. Assess coverage, liability, and damages to determine and recommend reserves. Prepare and present reports to senior management, highlighting issues influencing evaluations and reserve recommendations. Maintain a diary of all claims, post reserves promptly, and respond expeditiously to inquiries from insureds, counsel, underwriters, brokers, and senior management. Experience & Required Skills Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to evaluate, influence, negotiate, listen, and develop productive relationships with internal and external professionals. Strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to participate in active strategic discussions. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Willingness and ability to travel approximately 15%. Education Bachelor’s degree; Juris Doctorate required. 3-7 years of experience supporting commercial accounts for specialty insurance claims, preferably with a primary/excess carrier, broker, or law firm. Active and proper adjuster licensing in applicable states. LI-SW1 LI-HYBRID For individuals assigned to or hired in the following locations, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the posting date. Position is incentive eligible. Alpharetta, Texas, Kansas: $83,600 - $125,918/year Chicago, Hartford, Philadelphia: $97,100 - $150,000/year Jersey City, Morristown, Long Island, California, NYC: $107,900 - $160,000/year Total compensation (base salary, incentives) will consider factors such as location, responsibilities, qualifications, talent, and business needs.
