Job Duties
Teach 2-4 courses in Sports Administration and Movement Education per semester (Fall and Spring) Collaborate in developing curriculum and establishing new course offerings Advise and mentor students pursuing the undergraduate degree in sports administration Participate in departmental and college-wide recruitment and retention activities Maintain a highly productive scholarly agenda related to the field of Sports and Movement Education Engage in service to the department, school and university Required Qualifications
Earned doctorate in Sports Management/Administration or doctorate or terminal degree in a related field. ABD considered. Evidence of research activity and scholarship Other Preferences for Consideration
At least 5 years of practical experience in Sports Administration/Management; Sports Rehabilitation; Health & Wellness and/or Sports Science. Extensive knowledge and experience with curriculum and instruction, culturally responsive pedagogy, and curriculum design in the field of Sports Administration and Movement Education. Potential for excellence in teaching at the college level Commitment and sensitivity to issues of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility First Aid/CPR certification is highly recommended Additional Details
