We are looking for a
Senior Rail Designer
to join our Greater Washington Transportation team. We are working on premier transportation projects throughout the West Coast, such as the Tacoma Dome Link Extension and Interstate Bridge Replacement. This position will focus on delivering technical projects, engaging with clients, and providing mentorship. You will be involved in the design of passenger rail, freight rail, and bus transit, from conceptual through final design phases, as well as providing design services during construction.
You Will:
Manage the track design component of major rail projects. Manage transit engineering components of various transit projects including bus. Develop engineering design for freight and transit rail systems, bus systems, and related civil work. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior transit team members for complex engineering projects. Support client engagement, business development and the enhancement of the rail design & transit practice.
You Have:
BSCE, Washington or Oregon PE, and 9+ years of engineering experience related to track design and transit design. Experience with design of passenger rail or freight rail systems. Preferred: Experience with design of bus transit systems. Previous experience managing projects or transit tasks for complex projects.
Base salary for this position is in the range of $135,000-$175,000+
.
Compensation is determined by factors such as education, experience, location, and role. As employee-owners, we are eligible for performance-based bonuses and our salaries are reviewed annually. Our compensation structure prioritizes transparency and internal pay equity.
