Job Description Summary:

The Senior Engineering Controls Analyst plays a pivotal role in enhancing the operational efficiency and strategic direction of the Centralized Engineering Department. This role is responsible for leading initiatives related to process improvement, data analysis, permitting strategy, and cross-departmental coordination. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong analytical skills and a passion for driving continuous improvement across centralized engineering operations.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Evaluate and update current SOPs to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance across engineering operations. Coordinate with stakeholders during SOP development and implementation. Train department staff on SOP implementation.

Data Analysis & Reporting

Analyze engineering and operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. Develop and maintain project-level cost forecasts by working with cross-disciplinary groups within the Engineering Department. Develop and maintain department overhead cost forecasts. Assist in developing and managing Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for the Engineering Department.

Survey Development & Analysis

Distribute surveys to gather feedback from stakeholders and analyze results to inform policy and procedural changes.

Policy Implementation

Assist in the development and rollout of new policies and procedures based on data insights and operational needs.

Workflow Optimization & Automation

Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and implement automation tools to improve efficiency.

Permitting Strategy

Analyze and evaluate permitting processes to identify opportunities for simplification and acceleration.

Cross-Departmental Coordination

Serve as a liaison between engineering and other departments to ensure alignment and procedural consistency.

Contract and Procurement Support

Assist with Engineering of Record (EOR) procurement and contract preparation. Support the development of RFPs, RFQs, and contract documents in coordination with legal and project teams.

Resource Management

Assist with resource planning and workload management across the engineering team.

Meeting Support

Attend meetings and track action items to ensure follow-through and accountability. Lead meetings and facilitate effective communication.

Administrative Support

Perform administrative tasks including scheduling, document management, and internal communications. Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, Engineering Management, or a related field. 4+ years of experience in engineering, operations, or analyst role with increasing responsibility. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar data analysis tools. Experience with workflow automation tools (e.g., Power Automate) is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally.

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with permitting processes and regulatory compliance. Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.). Experience supporting contract negotiations and budget planning. Leadership in meeting facilitation and cross-functional collaboration.

Compensation Range:

$84,897.00 - $106,122.00
