The Role: Social Media & Influencer Manager
We’re seeking a creative, strategic, and hands-on professional to own and grow Viridian’s social presence. You'll be the driving force behind our social content creation, influencer partnerships, community building, and paid social performance. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, DIY environment and knows how to blend brand storytelling with bottom-line performance.
This is an on-site role at our West Metro, Minneapolis headquarters. Hybrid flexibility may be considered.

Director of Marketing Team Size:
Small and agile—this is a key individual contributor role. Responsibilities Content & Community Develop and execute platform-specific strategies for Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and emerging platforms. Create high-performing short-form video and graphic content using studio and on-location assets. Monitor and engage daily with comments, DMs, tags, and mentions to cultivate an active, respectful, and loyal community. Track cultural trends and moments to keep content timely, relevant, and platform-native. Identify, recruit, and manage influencers, creators, and brand ambassadors. Negotiate partnership terms, guide creative direction, and track performance and ROI. Coordinate product seeding, usage guidelines, and social amplification. Paid Social & Digital Advertising Plan, launch, and optimize paid social campaigns across Meta, TikTok, and Google. Collaborate with creative and product teams to ensure campaign alignment. Track key KPIs (traffic, engagement, conversions) and adjust campaigns to maximize ROI. Use tools like Meta Insights, Google Analytics, and native platform metrics to evaluate performance. Monitor social PR and brand sentiment across platforms and communities, flag emerging narratives, and report insights to internal stakeholders. Produce monthly reports with clear takeaways and actionable recommendations. Monitor competitors and emerging digital trends to keep Viridian’s strategy sharp. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Events Work closely with sales, product, creative, and customer service teams to support product launches and marketing initiatives. Travel occasionally (up to 10%) to trade shows, influencer shoots, or industry events to create content and build relationships. Qualifications 3–5 years of experience in social media or digital marketing, ideally with a consumer, sporting goods, or lifestyle brand. Proven track record growing social accounts and managing influencer programs. Hands-on experience with paid media platforms such as Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, and TikTok Ads. Proficiency in tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, or InShot. Strong copywriting and storytelling skills, with the ability to adjust tone across platforms. Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects and content pipelines at once. Familiarity or enthusiasm for the firearms, tactical, or shooting sports community is a major plus. Preferred (Not Required) Experience navigating advertising policies and platform restrictions related to firearms content. Familiarity with scheduling tools like Buffer, Later, Sprout Social, or Hootsuite. What Success Looks Like in 6 Months Social media engagement and reach have measurably increased across core platforms. An active, branded influencer pipeline is in place and regularly generating content. Paid social campaigns are running effectively and contributing to traffic and conversions. Content strategy is agile, on-brand, and responsive to the interests of our audience. Ready to build a brand, a community, and a movement?
