As a Product Marketing Lead, you will shape customer experiences, define customer strategies, and lead go-to-market initiatives while managing multiple stakeholders and resolving complex challenges. Responsibilities: • Lead Go-to-Market Strategy and Execution: Own the strategy and execution end-to-end. Effectively navigating moderate-to-high levels of ambiguity, requiring minimal input. Leverage customer research, competitive intelligence, and market trends to inform strategy, execution and strategic prioritization. • Enhance Strategic Partner Engagement: Develop messaging and materials that inform the cross functional team and set each owner up for success, including strategic reasoning for quarterly communication touchpoints and customer segmentation strategies with our partner merchants. Have a nuanced understanding of partnership functionality and key revenue + cost drivers within scope of area, along with common XFN factors that influence them • Drive Effective Comms Strategy: Build the consumer facing communication strategy that taps into rich insights to inform both product and partner execution. Test, track and optimize communication strategies to inform future executions. Influence decision-making through customer and merchant partner insights. • Operate with Agility and Drive Execution: Navigate ambiguity with confidence and bring clarity to complex, cross-functional projects. Manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously, anticipate risks, and maintain momentum through thoughtful planning and execution. Identify and evaluate trade-offs to recommend solutions that balance short-term impact and long-term strategic value. • Use Data to Inform Execution: Advocate for customer pain points and opportunities at key decision-making forums. Develop frameworks for how teams use customer data to drive actionable decisions. Translate business goals into actionable strategies for product marketing and go-to-market initiatives. • Leverage Business and Product Acumen: Develop a nuanced understanding of the Affirm ecosystem, as well as the revenue and cost drivers that impact marketing and product performance. Use this knowledge to own the success metrics for your partnership focused area, ensuring alignment with business objectives. • Collaborate across Teams to Drive Alignment: Proactively identify and mitigate risks caused by shifting priorities or unclear requirements. Build strong relationships across Partner, Merchant, Product, Sales, Customer Success, Analytics, and other key teams. • Be a Culture Carrier: Serve as a champion of Affirm’s values and culture, consistently fostering collaboration, transparency, and innovation within the team and across the organization. Lead by example in creating an inclusive and growth-oriented environment, promoting open communication, and encouraging others to take risks and innovate. Qualifications: Required: • 5-7 years of experience in product or partner marketing, or a similar role, ideally in a Payments or Fintech environment. • Proven track record of leading partnership strategy and communication alongside product launches and GTM strategy that delivers business results. • Sets a high standard of quality and serves as a role model for others on the team. • Proactively identifies areas for improvement in team deliverables, processes, or strategy and implements solutions. • Champions innovation by experimenting with new approaches and sharing learnings with the team. • Collaborates across teams to bring new perspectives and elevate the organization’s overall performance. • Excellent communicator and storyteller, with the ability to simplify complex ideas for a wide range of audiences. • Highly analytical mindset—confident with data and able to extract insights that influence partnership communication and marketing strategies. Constantly leveraging data to optimize product performance and user engagement. • Confident cross functional team leader who is able to manage multiple relationships with partners, merchants and stakeholders to drive the marketing communication strategy forward with multiple team’s buy-in. • Experience navigating ambiguity and driving alignment in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities. • Experience working with in-house designers and content developers to drive flawless execution in both design and copy communication. Work to tie customer facing communication together across multiple touchpoints with one cohesive strategy. • Campaign development leader with the ability to pull insights from customer data and build an effective campaign with multiple communication touchpoints.
