The US Compliance Team includes a Deputy General Counsel, Assistant Deputy General Counsel, Counsel, Senior Lawyer, Analyst Manager, and a team of Compliance Lawyers, Analysts, and Client/Matter Intake Analysts. The team collaborates daily with Norton Rose Fulbright offices in Australia, Canada, South Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. The role requires working outside regular hours. The position reports to a Counsel & Senior Manager, Compliance, and liaises with Global Compliance Lawyers, Analysts, and firm partners. Responsibilities include:

Advising on conflicts of interest, legal, ethical, and commercial considerations. Supervising workflows and work products of at least two Analysts. Interacting with management to resolve conflicts, onboarding, and practice development issues. Managing conflict resolution and a docket of 15-30 matters. Enforcing global practice standards on various compliance issues. Collaborating with international Compliance Teams. Analyzing conflict issues related to directorships and trusteeships. Reviewing client relationship letters for contractual obligations. Addressing questions about policies on share dealing. Skills and experience required:

Licensed to practice law in one or more US states where Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP operates. Experience as an attorney with knowledge of US conflicts rules. Strong commercial judgment, communication skills, and cultural awareness. Confidence to handle risk-based decisions and work with senior management. Familiarity with confidentiality, privilege, and client care duties. Analytical skills and supervisory experience preferred. Salary in California ranges from $130,000 to $165,000 annually, with variation by market.
