Position Summary

The Recruiting Manager is responsible for leading a small team of recruiters and supporting consistent execution of hiring processes across field and corporate roles. This role focuses on day-to-day team management, improving recruitment workflows, and ensuring a high-quality candidate experience. The Recruiting Manager partners closely with the Senior Director of HR to ensure recruitment operations align with current business needs and prepare the team for future growth.

Key Responsibilities

Team Management & Daily Operations

Lead, support, and coach a team of recruiters with clear goals, regular feedback, and accountability. Oversee the execution of day-to-day recruiting activities to ensure timely and efficient hiring. Monitor requisition progress, candidate pipelines, and recruiter workload. Provide training and guidance to help recruiters improve performance and candidate quality.

Process Improvement

Collaborate with HR leadership to document and refine recruiting workflows and standard operating procedures Identify and address inefficiencies or inconsistencies in the recruitment process Support compliance with hiring policies, documentation standards, and legal requirements

System Support & Adoption

Assist with maintaining and improving ATS usage across the team Support recruiter adoption of sourcing tools and internal systems Ensure data accuracy within recruiting systems to enable accurate reporting

Reporting & Communication

Help maintain basic recruiting metrics and dashboards (e.g., time-to-fill, candidate stage progression) Provide routine updates to HR leadership on open roles, challenges, and team performance Contribute insights to improve hiring strategies and recruiter productivity

Partnership & Coordination

Work with hiring managers to understand current staffing needs and support their participation in the hiring process Coordinate with the Onboarding Specialist to ensure smooth handoff and new hire experience Support vendor relationships and job board usage as needed

Required

Qualifications & Requirements

3–5 years of experience in recruiting or talent acquisition 1+ years of informal or formal leadership, mentoring, or team coordination experience Strong organizational and communication skills Familiarity with ATS platforms and recruiting metrics Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment A continuous improvement mindset and a passion for building strong teams

Working Conditions

Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, with occasional evening or weekend availability required during peak hiring periods or urgent staffing needs. The role requires frequent use of a computer, including extended periods of screen time for virtual meetings, candidate tracking, and communication. Must be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, often with tight deadlines. Occasional travel may be required for job fairs, recruiting events, or visits to field locations or corporate offices. Must be comfortable working with sensitive and confidential information and exercising sound judgment.
