The successful candidate will be a dynamic and business-savvy executive with a strong passion for product, capable of elevating the brand's retail business on a global scale. This role involves overseeing a diverse range of product categories, including women's and men's accessories, footwear, and ready-to-wear, across various retail channels. The SVP will be responsible for developing and driving the brand's global product strategy, aligning teams around seasonal product vision, and ensuring that all products meet cost and profitability targets. A key aspect of the role is to present merchandising strategies to executive leadership and to inspire and mentor high-performing merchandising teams. Applicants for the SVP, Global Merchandising position at the company should have a minimum of 15 years' experience in retail buying or corporate merchandising, with at least 10 years in a leadership role. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in global merchandising, trend translation, and a strong background in vertical retail and product development. Advanced Excel and data analysis skills are essential, as is the ability to combine analytical acumen with creative problem-solving. A Bachelor's degree is required, and the role demands a leader with strong cross-functional communication skills, the ability to partner with various teams, and a talent for inspiring and leading a diverse workforce.
