Air Squared Manufacturing, Inc. is an OEM manufacturer of scroll type compressors, vacuum pumps and expanders for the medical, aerospace, fuel cell and power generation industries. We are looking for a Temporary (2-3 weeks) Engineering/Assembly Technician I who will support assembly of mechanical and electrical test stands used in product validation. This role is focused on assisting Test Engineers with the assembly, setup, wiring, instrumentation, and maintenance of test stands. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with mechanical systems, electrical wiring, and test instrumentation, and enjoys collaborative, technical problem-solving work in a lab environment.
Pay Range: $26 - $32 / hour, based on qualifications and experience
Job Responsibilities: Assist Test Engineers with the mechanical and electrical assembly of test stands for compressors, pumps, and other mechanical systems. Install instrumentation such as pressure transducers, thermocouples, flow meters, and vibration sensors on test equipment. Perform wiring and connection of motors, sensors, and data acquisition systems per electrical schematics. Support the calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of test stands and associated equipment. Conduct leak checks, pressure testing, and mechanical system verifications prior to system startup. Work from engineering drawings, verbal instructions, or layout schematics to support custom test stand builds. Provide hands-on support during test setup and execution, ensuring test systems are operational and safe. Work individually or as part of an assembly team. Esure work area is organized, clean, and safe. Regularly lift up to 50 lbs. of raw materials or machine parts, with or without accommodation. Perform other required tasks as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED (required) Associate's degree in mechanical engineering technology or a related field (preferred) Minimum 6 months of experience in a mechanical testing environment or a similar role Basic understanding of mechanical principles and familiarity with hand tools Experience with electrical wiring and troubleshooting (preferred) Problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Attention to detail and commitment to quality Written and verbal communication skills Location: Thornton, Colorado
