Dale\nCity Animal Hospital has been providing high standards of medicine within this\ncommunity for over 30 years. Dale City has recently relocated to a newly\nrenovated 7,000 square foot facility. We are currently a 3-doctor practice and\nare looking to expand into a larger team in the years to come as our practice\ngrows. Dale City strives to provide an environment that upholds

Equipment and Procedures

GP, small animal in addition to exotic pets Open treatment area Double surgical suite Dental Suite with portable digital Xray 10 Exam Rooms DVM office space overlooking the treatment\narea Ultrasound & Xray In house Idexx Lab equipment

Work-Life Balance We are a strong believer of supporting\nwork-life balance through having a rotating schedule of 4 and 5-day work weeks.\nThe occasional Saturday might be needed as we build the DVM team. We are a\nfacility that does not house pets overnight or currently offer appointments\npast 7:00pm. We are closed on the 6 federal holidays as well. We work to\nprovide customized scheduling that fits the needs of our team, MDVM included.

Responsibilities

Oversees surgical and medical cases for all\ndoctors while ensuring positive outcomes, accurate estimates, and

client\ncommunication/education Responsible for the financial performance of\nthe hospital including revenue and hospital contribution growth as well as\nmanaging all hospital expenses Sees wellness and sick appointments, performs\nphysical examinations, and conducts

diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental\nprocedures Monitors DVM performance, production, and\nassures current licensure of all DVMs Educated on new medical information and\nchanges in veterinary medicine Trains all medical staff, including the\nmentoring of new graduates Maintains client/patient

medical/surgical\nrecords/logs Increase\nhospital's community involvement through partnering with community leaders and\nengaging with local support groups to support pet care needs. Participates in recruiting and interviewing\nDVMs and general staff members Maintains and improves medical

standards,\nquality

of care, hospital compliance, and AAHA accreditation The Managing Veterinarian partners with the\nHospital Manager in the development and delivery of staff training

programs,\nemployee

hiring/termination,

resolving staff concerns, driving

community\ninvolvement,

participating in technician appraisal and counseling sessions, and promoting growth and innovation of the practice. The MDVM\nalso prepares an annual planning matrix, operating budget, and\ncapital budget with support from the hospital team and Divisional Leadership.
