Oregon Health & Science University Department Overview OHSU is Oregon’s only public academic health center. We are a system of hospitals and clinics across Oregon and southwest Washington. The main objective of this role is to supply customers with the necessary goods and services to facilitate their job functions and contribute to the OHSU mission of healing, teaching, and discovery. Responsibilities include managing warehouse operations, delivering medical supplies, supporting inventory activities, restocking and maintaining POU machines, handling linen distribution and collection, and performing various tasks related to medical supply distribution for direct patient care areas. The role may also involve serving as a backup lead worker. This position reports to Logistics Managers. Key Responsibilities: Perform receiving, stocking, data entry, picking, delivery, and other functions to ensure timely completion of daily tasks, meeting customer needs for medical supplies and linen, in compliance with organizational policies. Stock and empty ScrubAvail dispensers and chute rooms to ensure adequate supply of scrubs and linen. Perform preventive maintenance on Pyxis/ParEx supply machines to ensure accurate restocking and patient charging. Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working environment, including proper shelving, housekeeping, reporting facility deficiencies, and caring for equipment. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Entry-level experience in stores (retail) and inventory work; AND Training or experience with inventory control systems, transportation agencies, and shipping methods (e.g., Amazon Purchasing). Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Hazmat certification within 3 months of hire; forklift training within 3 months of hire. Preferred Qualifications: Ability to read and write English and basic math skills. High School Diploma or GED. Two years of warehouse and customer service experience preferred. Knowledge of hospital materials management systems, medical supplies, and OHSU systems. Experience with setting min/max inventory levels, handheld counting devices, forklift operation preferred. Additional Details: Employees may handle soiled linen and hazardous materials such as fluids; training will be provided. Work environments may include exposure to weather elements, noise, dust, vibrations, and slippery surfaces.
