Job Description And Duties

CalPERS seeks a Staff Services Manager I (SSMI) in the Health Account Management Division (HAMD). The SSM I is responsible for leading the Health Program Consultation Services unit in marketing the CalPERS Health Benefit Program to employers, contracting with employers to provide CalPERS health benefits, onboarding new agencies and providing retention information for public agencies and schools that participate in the CalPERS Health Benefits program.
HAMD assists health plans, health benefit officers from state and public agencies, school districts, and members by providing eligibility determinations and enrollment services. As part of the Health Benefits Employer Services (HBES) section, the HPCS unit performs education outreach efforts and provides consultative services to attract new employers to join the CalPERS Health Benefits program and retain existing employers in their goal to offer exceptional quality healthcare to their employees.
