ASAP Compensation Base Salary: $250,000 - $285,000 (commensurate with experience)

Handle complex construction litigation matters with direct courtroom and arbitration exposure

Gain experience across diverse litigation and transactional work within the real estate sector

Responsibilities Contractual Advisory Interpret construction contract terms

Advise on scope of contractual responsibilities

New York Construction Law File and discharge mechanics liens under NY Mechanics Lien Law

Advise on New York Trust Fund statutes

Dispute Resolution Represent clients in:

New York State and Federal Courts

AAA arbitration

Mediations

Substantive Litigation Work Participate in trial and arbitration proceedings

Draft and file pleadings (complaints, answers, etc.)

Handle discovery (interrogatories, document production, e-discovery review)

Draft, brief, and argue motions to dismiss and for summary judgment

Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda

Take and defend depositions

Prepare fact and expert witnesses for hearings or trial

Draft mediation statements

Prepare trial and arbitration materials (exhibit lists, witness prep)

Construction Contracts Draft and negotiate:

General contracts

Construction management agreements

Subcontractor agreements

Professional services and consulting agreements

AIA and DBIA form contracts

Must-have qualifications 5-7 years of complex litigation experience focused on construction

Expertise in NY mechanics lien and trust fund statutes

Direct trial or arbitration experience

Strong legal writing and research capabilities

Experience in contract drafting and negotiation for construction agreements

Admitted to practice in New York
