A highly motivated Project Manager is sought in our Chicago office. This candidate will oversee a range of public and private sector projects including site development, roadway design, stormwater modeling, green infrastructure, trail design, and capital improvements. This is an opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven, employee-owned firm that values innovation, equity, and sustainability in engineering and design. Responsibilities: Oversee and manage civil engineering projects from inception to completion Conduct civil engineering plan reviews and provide technical feedback Interface effectively with team members, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies Author technical reports and project documentation Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables Provide mentorship to junior staff and oversee staff performance Support business development activities and client engagement Ensure adherence to quality standards, timelines, and client expectations Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (required) Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license (required) 6+ years of experience in civil engineering project management Required Skills: Strong project and time management abilities Ability to multitask across concurrent short- and long-term projects Proven experience working both independently and in team settings Adaptable, solution-oriented, and proactive under dynamic workloads Excellent verbal and written communication skills Additional Notes: Opportunity for hybrid work (1 remote day/week) Employee-owned structure with profit-sharing and company ownership options Competitive compensation and performance-based bonuses 100% employer-paid disability insurance 401(k) with company contributions Generous PTO and wellness programs Substantial involvement in company decisions and growth Culture built on collaboration, mutual trust, performance, and professional growth Seniority level
