Spectrum Interior Design is seeking a highly organized and detail-driven Design Studio Manager to bring structure, clarity, and energized momentum to our luxury interior design studio. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives on coordination, precision, and empowering others to excel.

This is an incredible opportunity to work directly with our Creative Director to oversee project operations, drive team execution, and support a polished and inspiring studio culture. You’ll be a trusted, proactive force behind the scenes, keeping priorities aligned, timelines moving, and the entire office running at its highest level of professionalism.

Your Role: Design Studio Manager

As Design Studio Manager, you are the operational heartbeat of the studio. This role will combine exceptional organizational skills, polished communication, and strategic thinking to oversee project management, team development, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management Excellence

Maintain active oversight of project schedules, task lists, and deliverables, ensuring each phase is well-organized, supported, and moving forward. Develop, monitor, and enforce actionable project timelines to ensure milestones, deadlines, and deliverables are consistently met. Streamline workflow tracking to create clear visibility for leadership and team members. Lead weekly status check-ins and task follow-through to ensure projects remain on track and teams are clear on priorities. Spearhead the implementation, training, and ongoing maintenance of project management software to drive efficiency and accountability across all projects with accuracy and polish. Anticipate upcoming needs and prepare accordingly, whether it's scheduling vendor meetings, reviewing client onboarding steps, or organizing internal milestones.

Team Development & Leadership

Manage the full HR lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, mentorship, performance reviews, and offboarding with discretion and professionalism. Lead team organization, communicating action items, deadlines, and expectations with clarity, professionalism, and warmth. Implement structured processes that encourage high performance and professional development within the studio. Serve as a mentor and resource, inspiring excellence and supporting the career development of team members. Foster an atmosphere of energy, forward momentum, and collaboration. Uphold the brand values, standards, and client-centric philosophy in all areas.

Business Operations & Strategic Support

Partner with leadership on business development initiatives, including marketing campaigns, proposals, and client outreach. Assist in creating marketing materials and maintaining brand consistency across all communications. Identify operational opportunities, develop strategic workflows, and ensure procedural consistency across the studio. Contribute to strategic initiatives that enhance scalability, operational strength, and overall business performance. Oversee daily office operations and studio logistics to ensure the space runs with excellence and ease. Implement and measure success in departmental productivity using KPI’s

Note : Additional responsibilities and special projects may be assigned to support the evolving needs of the firm.

Job Requirements

5+ years in a project management, office management, or operations role within a creative or professional services environment. Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a passion for clarity, systems, and well-run operations. Strong background in team development with expertise in recruitment through performance management. Leadership experience with confidence in nurturing an efficient team. A professional presence and high level of verbal and written communication. A proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and take ownership of tasks. Proficiency with project management and office tools (Asana, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace); familiarity with Studio Designer is a plus. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation for business activities

Location : This position is based on-site in Mountain View, CA. Remote and hybrid work arrangements are not available
