Program Manager, Career Coaching
to support undergraduate students through career coaching and job search guidance. The PM will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing initiatives that facilitate internship and job placement for
first-generation, low-income (FGLI)
students, ensuring they have access to meaningful career opportunities upon graduation. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the challenges faced by FGLI college students and a strong commitment to empowering them through education and career development.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Support, Coaching and Guidance
Provide one-on-one coaching and personalized support to students in areas such as resume writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
Conduct regular check-ins with students to monitor progress, address concerns, and provide tailored guidance as needed.
Program Development and Implementation
Collaborate with the program team to design and execute career development and internship initiatives tailored to FGLI college students.
Plan and coordinate workshops, seminars, and networking events to connect students with resources and opportunities for professional growth.
Data Management and Reporting
Maintain accurate records of student engagement, internship placements, and program outcomes.
Analyze data and prepare reports to evaluate program effectiveness and inform continuous improvement efforts.
Student and Stakeholder Engagement
Build strong relationships with campus partners, nonprofit organizations, and other stakeholders to enhance student recruitment and engagement.
Represent the organization at conferences, career fairs, and other events to promote visibility and expand our professional network.
Leverage social media and digital platforms to creatively engage and connect with students, fostering community and high-level participation in program services.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 2-3 years of professional experience.
Experience in career coaching, with a solid understanding of the corporate hiring landscape, including application and interview processes.
Experience working with FGLI college students and/or underrepresented populations in higher education or nonprofit settings is preferred.
Strong skills in program coordination, event planning, or project management.
Familiarity with career search and networking platforms such as LinkedIn and Handshake.
Salary Range: $55,000-$65,000.
Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon, but not limited to, the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and application of employment laws. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
Healthcare stipend covering essential health, dental, and vision expenses.
Paid time off (vacation, sick leave, and holidays).
