We are looking for someone strategic, self-motivated, and driven to explore new ways of thinking. This individual will lead product development and technical strategy for complex projects across the US & Seasonal portfolio of brands. This is a key role to enable Ferrara's innovation strategy through strong technical leadership, creating project plans, executing all development phases, and acting as a subject matter expert in product development organization-wide. Ways you will make a difference Lead product development for complex projects from concept to commercialization with excellence and on-time delivery. Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, including contingency planning and risk management. Coach junior developers on project management, technical development, and planning. Act as a subject matter expert, advising on technology strategy and solving technical problems. Collaborate with Marketing, Insights, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality Engineering, Packaging, etc., to deliver on innovation strategies. Demonstrate and embody the company’s core values. Work autonomously with a self-starter mentality, bringing clarity to ambiguous situations. Skills that will make you successful Proven product development experience from concept to commercialization. Understanding of ingredient and process technology in consumer packaged foods, ideally candy confections. Strong technical problem-solving skills for ingredient and process innovation. Experience translating innovation concepts into prototypes and scaling for commercialization. Ability to mentor and coach junior team members. Excellent interpersonal and persuasive communication skills to influence and build relationships across functions. Strong analytical, technical, and communication skills for data interpretation and decision-making. Self-motivated, able to manage priorities and uncertainties in fast-paced environments. Ability to leverage networks for ideas, practices, and solutions. Experiences that will support your success Bachelor’s in Food Science or related; Master’s preferred. Experience in CPG food product development, especially commercialization and innovation pipelines. Experience with Sugar Confections is preferred. At least 10+ years (ideally 15+) in product development across various innovations and technologies. Proven track record of delivering key project milestones on time. Comfortable working with ambiguity and overcoming challenges.
