Columbia Threadneedle Investments is looking for an experienced marketing professional for our Advisor Consulting and Development marketing team, which is responsible for developing and promoting educational programs that help financial advisors better serve their clients and strengthen and grow their practices.
In this position, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining high-quality content that drives meaningful sales and marketing touch points throughout the client journey. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Consulting and Development Marketing Programs, you will work cross-functionally with business and marketing partners to transform complex concepts into approachable educational collateral and craft engaging narratives to connect our programs to the needs of target audiences.
The ideal candidate is a creative, strategic thinker and skillful communicator who values the art and science of storytelling. You have a passion for client-centric marketing and understand the role impactful content plays in attracting and retaining customers across all channels.
Key Responsibilities
Develop content to support key educational programs and campaigns across owned, earned and paid channels; create compelling value-propositions to promote educational programs with target audiences
Maintain consistent messaging throughout an intentional suite of program deliverables such as whitepapers, worksheets, articles, presentations; support internal training to enable program go-to-market (GTM) activities
Support integrated campaigns and digital customer experiences designed to scale program reach and increase engagement with target audiences
Manage a deliberate content calendar to sustain an inventory of relevant materials; ensure content remains organized, accessible, and compliant across content management systems
Optimize content using qualitative and quantitative inputs such as industry trends, engagement metrics, competitive research and voice of the customer (VoC) surveys
Collaborate with technical subject-matter experts, sales, strategic and creative marketing, and other business functions to plan, create, distribute, organize and update content
Required Qualifications
5-7 years of financial services marketing
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Effective communication in all forms: visual, verbal and written to influence peers and stakeholders across the firm
Strong balance of analytical, strategic and creative thinking skills with the proven ability to apply the right approach to achieve results
Highly skilled at working collaboratively across multiple functions to complete projects efficiently and effectively
Exceptional attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple projects independently
Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, including SharePoint, Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Power Platform familiarity a plus
Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in asset management marketing; previous content marketing/development experience a plus
Comfortable with utilizing data analytics platforms such as Tableau and Adobe Analytics
Experience with content and project management systems (e.g. Bloomreach, Seismic, Workfront etc.)
Solid understanding of effective integrated marketing programs leveraging both online and offline channels
