Laboratory Technical Supervisor

This position will supervise the technical staff at our hospitals in Oconomowoc and Mukwonago. This is a 1.0 FTE position, with a variable start time between 0700 and 0900. Supervisory staff generally do not work weekends, holidays or after hours, but can change based on operational support needs. This position does require the ability to perform testing as needed at both locations and lead others remotely when needed. Candidate must have the ability to drive to /from locations as needed using a personal vehicle. Distribution of time is approximately 70% admin and 30% direct bench work. Eligible for a $5,000 sign on bonus ProHealth Care offers a system-wide laboratory operation with core hospital labs at Waukesha Memorial and Oconomowoc Memorial as well as two clinic-based laboratory sites in Waukesha County. The laboratory performs over 8 million tests annually. Our Lab services operate state of the art facilities and include clinical testing in the areas of Histology, Cytology, Hematology, Coagulation, Clinical Chemistry, Urinalysis, Immunoassay, Microbiology, Transfusion service, EIA, and Molecular Biology. ProHealth Care offers a vibrant outreach program, providing laboratory testing to numerous specialty hospitals, physician offices, nursing home, and assisted living facilities. Our Pathologists and PhDs work closely with lab employees to monitor quality, as well as identify, access, and implement new technology. The Laboratory has certification and accreditation through the College of American Pathologists (CAP), American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA). What You Will Do

Accountable for directing and coordinating the daily operations and workflow for a defined department within ProHealth Care Laboratories. This role plans, coordinates, assesses and adjusts patient and/or specimen flow; supervises departmental personnel, budget and productivity. Accountable for working as part of the laboratory leadership team to transform organizational goals and values into everyday practice and ensure a culture of patient safety in accordance with ProHealth Care philosophies, policies and procedures. Must have the ability to work at various PHC Lab locations as needed. Qualifications: ASCP Certified Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Tech required 4-6 years of supervisory and technical experience preferred Knowledge of College of American Pathologists (CAP) regulatory requirements.
