Principal Responsibilities : Full time position, 40 hours a week, on site We are seeking a strategic and skilled Chief Development Officer (CDO) who will oversee the organization's goal of generating annual philanthropic revenue of over $5 million. Reporting to the CEO, and working closely with the leadership team, Board, Development Committee and volunteers, the CDO has direct responsibility overseeing the Development Department to ensure the fundraising strategy aligns with the organization's overall goals and objectives. The CDO will ensure that all fund development efforts support building a strong donor base through thoughtful identification of new donors, cultivation and stewardship of donors through all fundraising activities including major gifts, planned giving, annual campaigns, endowments, corporate and foundation support, capital campaigns, and special events. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative, innovative, and forward-thinking leader, bringing proven fundraising practices to the JCC. RESPONSIBILITIES AND OPPORTUNITIES Partner with lay leadership, C-suite executives, and department directors to develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy that aligns with the JCC's mission and values. Foster a culture of philanthropy organization-wide by promoting shared ownership of fundraising goals and encouraging cross-department collaboration. Work with leadership and management to craft compelling messages for diverse donor audiences. Collaborate with program leaders to understand and support their funding needs and priorities. Oversee the development department budget, ensuring efficient use of resources to meet fundraising goals. Lead a team of five development professionals, fostering a collaborative environment and setting clear performance expectations. Manage all aspects of donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, recognition, stewardship, gift processing, and pledge tracking. Maintain a portfolio of major donors, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding their contributions. Track and report on donor data, fundraising goals, and outcomes across departments. Coordinate with the Board Chair and CEO on solicitation efforts and ensure Board members understand and fulfill their fundraising roles. BENEFITS Full-time :

Minimum Qualifications : 7-10+ years of professional fundraising experience in leadership roles within social service or community organizations. Successful track record in securing six- and seven-figure gifts. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with sophisticated interpersonal abilities. Ability to motivate and inspire colleagues and supporters. Proven supervisory and management experience with effective feedback skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and donor management tools; Salesforce experience preferred. Strong analytical and reporting skills. Detail-oriented with excellent prioritization and deadline management. Experience working within the Jewish community is strongly preferred. Passion for the JCC mission and ability to articulate its value. Bachelor's degree required; CFRE certification a plus. SALARY RANGE :
