Job Description:
Position Title: System Administrator
Location: Downtown Houston
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role. Strong understanding of server infrastructure, including Windows and Linux operating systems. Proficiency in network configuration and management, including firewall administration. Hands-on experience with VMware virtualization technologies. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure. Solid knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and communication skills. Proactive and self-motivated attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt. Experience in vendor management, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with third-party vendors. Demonstrated experience in project management, including planning, execution, and monitoring of IT projects. Knowledge and experience in administering Active Directory and domain controllers. Experience in managing group policies. Experience with SonicWall and Palo Alto firewalls. Knowledge of storage solutions including Isilon, Vblock, VxRail, Data Domain, and Avamar. Strong soft skills, including effective communication, writing, and the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
