Job Summary: United Airlines is a leading airline company that is focused on enhancing its digital technology capabilities. The Business Analyst will bridge the gap between IT and business objectives by analyzing processes, gathering requirements, and managing projects to improve the quality of IT products and services. Responsibilities: • Conduct in-depth analysis of existing business processes to identify efficiency gains and areas for improvement • Map out current and future state processes, providing a clear vision for potential enhancements • Gather and interpret complex data sets to identify trends, forecast outcomes, and support decision-making • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics to monitor business performance • Work closely with stakeholders to understand and translate business needs into detailed requirements • Design and propose business solutions that align with strategic objectives and improve operations • Lead and manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and business expectations • Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and make adjustments as necessary to stay on track • Communicate effectively with team members, management, and external partners to align on business goals and initiatives • Prepare and deliver presentations that summarize findings and recommendations clearly and persuasively • Facilitate collaboration between business units, technology, and support teams to ensure cohesive efforts and successful outcomes • Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring mutual understanding and cooperation • Proactively seek out opportunities for process optimization and innovation within the business • Implement best practices and stay abreast of industry trends to drive continuous improvement Qualifications: Required: • Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field • 3+ years of related experience or successful completion of United DT Early Career Digital Leadership Program (ECDLP) • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., SQL, Excel, Tableau) • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization • Experience in project management and business process re-engineering • Ability to work independently and with others to resolve complex business issues • Proven proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint • Must be a team focused individual • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position Preferred: • Experience working with Jira and Agile environment Company: United Airlines is an aviation company that provides information on reservations, bookings, and travel services online.
