NAVWAR is seeking an Information Technology Specialist (InfoSec) to serve as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) in the Plans & Programs Division. The role involves monitoring and assessing the Cybersecurity Program, conducting audits, and advising on cybersecurity policies and procedures. Responsibilities: • You will monitor and assess the Cybersecurity Program. • You will conduct periodic reviews of information systems to ensure compliance with RMF requirements. • You will conduct cyber risk and strategic analysis. • You will conduct audits of the information system to ensure that CS requirements are being met in accordance with applicable federal laws, RMF controls, SSP policies and SSP procedures. • You will advise the ISSM on CS policies, procedures, issues, threats, incident response, requirements, resources, and solutions. • You will coordinate with external agencies to ensure all external connections meet protection requirements and are documented in the appropriate set of RMF artifacts. Qualifications: Required: • Must be a US Citizen. • Must be determined suitable for federal employment. • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. • New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326. • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service. • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. • This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code (461), proficiency level (Immediate) the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies. • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. • Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, Problem Solving. • In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next pay band (NH-3) or grade level (GS-13) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. • In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band (NH-2) or grade level (GS-11) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
