Their technology is designed to enhance precision, efficiency, and scalability in construction. About the Role: Field Application Engineer As a Field Application Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting deployed robotic systems and contributing to the development of next-generation products. This hands-on, customer-facing position blends robotics engineering, system integration, and technical support. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the performance and reliability of robotic systems through assembly, testing, refinement, and both remote and on-site support. You’ll also lead customer training sessions and help drive successful adoption of cutting-edge autonomous technologies. Key Responsibilities Deliver on-site and remote training and support to customers (domestic and international) Diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively Assemble and integrate robotic systems, including wiring, soldering, electronics, and motor calibration Perform stress testing and field validation in real-world environments Support hardware/software upgrades and sensor integration Contribute to the development of fleet management tools and diagnostic systems Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and customer interactions Collaborate with engineering, operations, and customer success teams to enhance product performance Champion initiatives that promote high customer adoption and satisfaction Ideal Background Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering 2+ years of hands-on experience in robotics, electronics, wiring, and PID motor control Practical experience with GitHub and ROS (Robot Operating System), with at least 1 year of applied use Strong communication skills and experience in technical documentation and training Comfortable providing both remote and in-person support Willingness to travel domestically (~4 days/month) and internationally (1–2 short trips/quarter) Valid driver’s license required Base salary: $100K–$140K + Annual Bonus & Equity Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance Stock options in a rapidly growing early-stage startup Flexible PTO – take the time you need Work with a collaborative team from diverse backgrounds This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of robotics, supporting real-world deployments and shaping the future of automation in infrastructure construction.
