AI Infrastructure Supply Chain Manager

to lead our procurement and supply chain operations for high-performance computing (HPC) systems. The ideal candidate will possess recent expertise in HPC, demonstrated technical acumen, excellent communication skills, supplier landscape knowledge and relationships, experience in managing complex supply chains, and be comfortable working in a demanding, fast-paced, dynamic environment. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive procurement processes and ensure coordination between engineering, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Procurement Leadership:

Lead the end-to-end procurement process for HPC systems, including sourcing, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships. Ensure all technical requirements and specifications meet or exceed Design for Manufacturing (DfM) standards on PCBAs. Technical Expertise:

Leverage deep knowledge of high-performance computing systems, including GPUs, CPUs, servers, networking, and storage technologies, to make informed procurement recommendations. Collaborate closely with engineering teams to understand technical requirements and ensure the acquisition of the best-fit solutions. Project Management:

Drive complex procurement projects to meet timelines and business goals, coordinating cross-functional teams and managing key supplier relationships to ensure performance, quality, and cost efficiency. Risk Management:

Proactively manage supply chain risks by monitoring supplier performance, identifying alternative sourcing options, and ensuring business continuity. Use data analysis to uncover trends, drive improvements, and support cost-saving initiatives, while providing regular performance reports to executive management. Compliance and Ethics:

Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Uphold high standards of integrity and ethical conduct in supplier interactions. Lead supplier quotations as the commercial expert:

Owner of RFQ/P's and contract management—ensure bid events are unbiased, submittals are appropriately analyzed/leveled, contracts are negotiated, agreed upon, approved, and documented before business initiation. Drive negotiation:

Negotiate piece price and product development to meet Tesla's pricing and quality standards, including Supplier Industrialization standards of Best-In-Class quality. What You'll Bring

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering (Electrical, Computer Engineering, or related), or relevant experience with demonstrated exceptional ability. Minimum of 7 years of experience in progressive engineering and/or supply chain management roles, focusing on AI infrastructure, HPC, PCBAs, memory, storage, data centers, and indirect procurement, with deep knowledge of supply chain best practices within the tech sector. Strong leadership skills to manage teams and projects under pressure. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Strong commercial knowledge and bid leveling capabilities. Occasional travel (up to 25%) for vendor meetings or company visits. In-person presence required in Palo Alto or Fremont locations. Expected annual salary ranges from $82,800 to $189,000, plus cash and stock awards. Total compensation varies based on experience, location, and other factors.
