The role also includes assisting the Assistant Chief Pilot with assigned duties. General Duties
Complete assigned tasks and maintain work areas Follow general orders Respond to tactical situations Pursue suspects and conduct marijuana eradication activities Respond to calls, conduct air patrols, and assess damages during disasters Search for missing persons and conduct surveillance Maintain aircraft logbooks and assist law enforcement units Prepare daily activity reports and testify in legal proceedings Minimum Requirements
Associate's degree or equivalent flight experience At least 4 years of related full-time employment within the last 3 years Florida LE Certification or current FL EOT Enrollment Commercial Helicopter Certificate with instrument rating Minimum 1000 hours helicopter flight time 500 hours turbine time, preferably on Bell 407/429 Class II Flight Physical or ability to obtain Preferred Experience
1500 hours helicopter total time Experience with Bell 407/429, night vision goggles, fire suppression, search and rescue, and hoist/external cargo operations Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Additional Information
