Position Description

Support the launch of Illinois' statewide health insurance marketplace, Get Covered Illinois, in partnership with the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services.

Complete required training to become a licensed health navigator, maintaining certification and licensing throughout employment.

Conduct outreach and education to raise awareness about health coverage options, including Qualified Health Plans and Medicaid.

Responsibilities

Complete licensing training and maintain certification.

Provide fair, accurate, and impartial information on health benefits.

Assist individuals in selecting appropriate health plans or Medicaid.

Refer clients to state agencies for grievances or questions.

Conduct outreach in diverse communities, including LEP populations.

Complete reports and participate in trainings and meetings.

Enroll uninsured and underinsured individuals.

Maintain a flexible work schedule to meet community needs.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts

Language Requirement

Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years related experience

Experience in nonprofit and public sector outreach

Experience working with LEP and hard-to-reach communities

Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
