Job Description Summary Front Line manager reporting to the Turbine Airfoils Core Solutions Quality Leader responsible for creating and developing a supplier quality strategy for a segment of the RPCA Coatings & Chemical Process quality team, ensuring alignment with the Part Family Quality Leader’s vision for the entire team. The individual will drive quality for protective coating and chemical processing suppliers, including quality plan implementation, part qualification support, and utilizing APQP tools to proactively prevent defects. Own supplier results, drive improvements using supplier scorecards and process data. Manage supplier audits, ensure compliance, and implement improvement plans as needed. Interpret business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services. Stay informed of industry trends affecting work scope, standards, load reduction, and growth. Roles and Responsibilities Lead a small to medium team (3-6 professionals and contractors), accountable for quality outcomes of coating and chemical process vendors for Turbine airfoils. Improve supplier performance through Quality Improvement Plans to reduce escapes, defects, and cycle times. Collaborate with internal sites on quality concerns and best practices. Implement APQP and AS13100 into the supply base to enhance quality capabilities. Use FLIGHT DECK and lean tools for performance management and problem-solving. Lead critical problem-solving efforts for supplier escapes. Partner with sites managing FAI and SPS packages for technical expertise. Develop team competencies in understanding design, GD&T, manufacturing, and quality tools. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with at least 7 years of relevant professional experience. Minimum 2 years in Manufacturing Engineering, Supplier Quality Engineering, or Product Engineering. US Person status. Desired Characteristics Experience in Aerospace Coatings and/or Chemical Processes. Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Problem-solving and program management abilities. Ability to document and execute initiatives. Humble, transparent, focused, and collaborative leadership qualities.
