The Washington, D.C. office of Norton Rose Fulbright is seeking an experienced associate (3rd to 5th year) or experienced counsel/senior counsel to join the Government Contracts practice within the Regulations, Investigations, Securities and Compliance practice team. Ideal candidates will have experience advising government contractors regarding their interactions with federal and state agencies, including advising on a wide range of compliance and regulatory issues; drafting and negotiating contracts with subcontractors and suppliers performing on government contracts; assisting with corporate transactions involving government contractors; counseling clients on claims and disputes involving government contracts, including preparing and prosecuting requests for equitable adjustment and claims; and assisting clients with bid protests. Additional experience with small business issues, IP/data rights issues, security clearance issues, import/export compliance, including knowledge of ITAR/EAR issues, and international transactions is beneficial. Preference given to candidates who possess a broad background in a government contracts practice, with experience in corporate transactions, compliance counseling, and litigation. The candidate should have strong academic credentials from a top-tier law school (U.S. JD required); excellent communication and writing skills and a demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Key Requirements:
3-5 years or more of legal experience. Experience advising government contractors on compliance and regulatory issues. Drafting and negotiating contracts experience with subcontractors and suppliers performing on government contracts. Experience counseling clients on claims and disputes involving government contracts including:
Experience preparing and prosecuting requests for equitable adjustment and claims. Experience assisting clients with bid protests.
Preferred experience with small business issues, IP/data rights issues, security clearance issues, import/export compliance, including knowledge of ITAR/EAR issues, and international transactions. Preferred broad background in a government contracts practice, with experience in corporate transactions, compliance counseling, and litigation.

Compensation:
Employees are entitled to compensation commensurate with skill and experience. The full-time base salary per year for this position will range between $260,000 - $420,000. This range represents the firm's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting for the position. Bonus opportunities are non-guaranteed and are dependent upon individual and firm performance.
