The AVP, Actuary Risk Management supports the Americas P&C Chief Risk Officer in implementing and continuously improving the risk management framework for the US, Canada, and Latin America, aligning with SCOR's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework while meeting all regulatory and commercial expectations.

Role Overview :
The AVP Risk Manager is responsible for capital analysis, projections, and affiliate retrocession analysis. You will lead and participate in risk analyses, including scenario assessments, emerging risks, and business initiatives at local, P&C, or Group levels.
You will work with the CRO and team to ensure risk management activities are integrated with business and decision-making processes, promoting risk awareness and optimization of risk-return profiles, while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Risk management framework and analysis
Manage and improve risk measurement models and reporting in collaboration with local, P&C, and Group stakeholders.
Calculate and review capital requirements; develop and manage models accordingly.
Coordinate with Group modeling teams on economic capital calculations for legal entities.
Lead ORSA processes, risk analyses, and related documentation, including stress testing and qualitative assessments.
Validate internal model inputs and outputs for group models.
Coordinate analysis and pricing of affiliate retrocession agreements.
Identify, assess, and monitor emerging risks and trends.
Contribute to risk analyses for ad-hoc needs at local or group levels.
Represent Americas in developing extreme deterministic scenarios with Group Risk Management.
Reporting and Governance :
Enhance monitoring tools and key risk indicators in coordination with Group.
Prepare and review risk and solvency reports for management and the board.
Assist in external reporting to auditors, regulators, and authorities.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations.
Alignment with Business Stakeholders :
Coordinate with risk owners to develop key risk indicators and evaluate business risks.
Align processes and reporting with Group standards.
Desired Experience and Competencies :
Experience :
Over ten years in the P&C industry, preferably in commercial (re)insurance, with experience in actuarial and financial risk modeling, including regulatory capital formulas and internal frameworks. Experience with AI integration is a plus.
Personal Skills :
Strong analytical and statistical skills; model development experience is advantageous.
Knowledge of P&C (re)insurance and sound business judgment.
Excellent communication skills; concise and clear reporting.
Proactive, solutions-oriented, and capable of leading cross-functional projects.
Timely results delivery, accountability, and high-quality outputs.
Ability to build relationships across functions and understand legal/regulatory requirements.
Required Education :
BSc or higher in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Economics, or related fields.
Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries or equivalent.
Qualification in a recognized actuarial or risk management organization.
Relocation assistance within the U.S. is available; candidates must have valid work authorization. Compensation ranges from $190,000 to $238,000 annually, with bonuses and benefits.
