Qualifications – Must Have: 5+ years of experience in tax preparation. Enrolled Agent (EA) designation or IRS-recognized credential (CPA, CRTP, AFSP, or Attorney). Proven proficiency in Lacerte, Excel, Adobe, and project management systems. Strong experience handling IRS/FTB phone calls and correspondence. Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong organizational skills and a process-oriented mindset. Ability to work in-office 100%. Excellent work ethic and a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth. Qualifications – Nice to Have: Experience in bookkeeping (5+ years). Ability to complete 1040 returns from start to finish. Advanced degree in Accounting or Taxation. Active or renewable PTIN or CAF. Familiarity with QuickBooks Online and CRM systems. Residence near the office. Core Competencies: Willingness to unlearn outdated methods and adapt to current systems and best practices. Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To: Prepare and review business and individual tax returns, including 1040s, S-Corps, C- Corps, Partnerships, Fiduciary, and Non-Profit filings. Deliver high-quality, personalized service that exceeds client expectations. Manage client engagements with professionalism and responsiveness. Represent clients before the IRS and FTB for audits, collections, and correspondence. Maintain compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations. Conduct in-depth tax research and provide strategic guidance. Contribute to the improvement of internal systems and processes. Maintain detailed, organized, and accurate records of client documents and interactions.
