Overview:
An established leader in power conversion IC technology is seeking a
SeniorCAD Engineer
to support advanced IC design efforts across global teams. This role is ideal for an experienced CAD specialist who thrives in high-performance environments and is passionate about pushing the boundaries of integration, efficiency, and design automation in the power semiconductor space. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain Process Design Kits (PDKs) for proprietary processes
Support all CAD tools used in IC design, including: Cadence schematic entry
Mixed-mode simulation
Custom layout design
Layout verification (LVS, DRC, xRC)
Logic synthesis, Place & Route, and custom SKILL code
Create and maintain custom Mentor Calibre runsets (DRC, LVS, xRC)
Support layout engineers with tapeouts and device engineers with PCELL development
Manage software installation, license tracking, and vendor communications
Deliver in-house CAD support for worldwide design centers
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Science
12+ years of relevant CAD engineering experience (10+ with a master’s)
Proven experience in: PCELL and PDK development
Mentor Calibre DRC/LVS/xRC runset creation
Cadence tools including VSR & EMIR
Encounter Place & Route
SKILL, Perl, and/or Python scripting
Strong understanding of semiconductor process flow
Effective communicator with ability to support global teams
Traits: Self-directed and collaborative
Organized and able to manage multiple priorities
Comfortable interfacing with engineering, layout, and software teams
