Senior Cost Estimator
to support the
GSA White House Projects Office
in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will provide expert cost estimation for new design efforts and conduct thorough reviews of change orders for ongoing projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed cost estimates for new design and construction projects across multiple disciplines (architectural, civil, mechanical, electrical, etc.)
Review and evaluate contractor-submitted change orders for accuracy, completeness, and cost reasonableness
Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure accurate scope alignment and estimate validation
Prepare independent government estimates (IGEs) in accordance with GSA and federal guidelines
Participate in project planning, design reviews, and budget development activities
Identify risks and opportunities that could affect project costs
Qualifications:
8+ years of relevant cost estimating experience in construction, engineering, or architecture projects
Experience supporting GSA or other federal agency projects
Proficiency with cost estimating tools (e.g., RSMeans, CostWorks, e4Clicks, or similar)
Familiarity with federal acquisition processes and change order review procedures
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
Certified Cost Professional (CCP), Certified Estimating Professional (CEP), or similar certification
