Thompson was founded in 1886 as an orphanage and has grown into an organization operating across the Carolinas, Florida, Tennessee and Kentucky. Thompson’s continuum of care encompasses three domains: prevention, mental health services and foster care. All Thompson programs are trauma-informed and evidence-based/evidence-informed with the intention of building resilience in our clients (ages 0-18) and their families, both virtually and in person. What will you do as a Program Director?
The Program Director is responsible for operational oversight and performance of their respective program(s). Success of programs in the Director’s chain of command will be primarily measured through three core data points: financial performance data, staff retention/engagement data, and program outcomes/quality data. The Program Director is expected to model the principles of a Leader of Leaders.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
Master's Degree in human services or related field. 3+ years of leadership experience in child welfare. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in these related fields: Child Welfare, Dependency, Social Work, DCF, Foster Care, or Adoption. Child Welfare Certification required. Must have a valid Driver's License and meet any credentialing, licensing, and privileging standards as it pertains to the program(s) they lead. Perform under strong demands in fast-paced, diverse, sometimes ambiguous environments. Handle highly stressful, sensitive situations, maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries. Displays the capacity/coachability for future growth and development as a leader. All potential job candidates must pass a drug screening test, and an extensive background check is required.
