Our in-office team collaborates at our Dupont Circle office Tuesday through Thursday and works from home Monday and Friday.

Your Mission:

Partner with our finance team to handle accounting activities such as leases, revenue recognition, monthly close, and ad hoc requests. Develop and implement policies and procedures aligned with our growth objectives.

You will report to VP - Corporate Controller, Susan Fulmer, and be part of an 8-member Finance Team.

Establish a robust, compliant control framework that supports our growth and provides a foundation for financial management.

Responsibilities

Manage general accounting functions, including journal entries, inter-company accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Handle lease accounting in compliance with ASC 842, including operating and finance leases, subleases, modifications, and amortization schedules.

Lead customer invoicing, collections, cash application, and reconciliation processes.

Ensure timely completion of accounting closes and financial reports.

Assist in preparing tax returns and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

Calculate, report, and remit sales and use taxes accurately.

Prepare financial statements according to company policies and US GAAP.

Develop and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures.

Collaborate with finance and other departments to improve systems and processes.

Who You Are

CPA license with at least 5 years of accounting experience.

Strong knowledge of GAAP, especially Lease Accounting (ASC 842) and Revenue Recognition (ASC 606).

Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and data analysis tools.

Experience with cloud accounting systems, preferably Oracle NetSuite.

Experience managing multi-entity accounting workflows.

Experience deploying and managing billing systems.

Background in fleet management, charging, electric vehicles, or clean energy is a plus.

Excellent organizational, process management, and communication skills.

Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
