The
Sr. Manager, Tax
will lead the preparation of annual income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740, oversee the full scope of federal, international, state, and local income tax compliance, and manage non-income tax areas such as sales & use and property tax.
This newly created role is designed to bring critical tax expertise in-house to support the growing complexity and scale of our business operations. With a strong foundation in Big 4 experience, this leader will collaborate closely with external advisors and cross-functional teams—including Accounting, FP&A, and Legal—to ensure compliance, reduce risk, and support business decision-making. In addition to technical tax responsibilities, this role will focus on optimizing internal controls, scaling tax processes, and developing team capabilities to sustain long-term operational excellence. Success in this role will enable the company to remain audit-ready, strategically informed, and well-positioned for continued growth.

Detailed Job Duties:

Tax Provision (ASC 740): Prepare and review the annual global consolidated income tax provision and related footnote disclosures in accordance with ASC 740. Manage and document uncertain tax positions, valuation allowances, and deferred tax assets/liabilities. Maintain and update tax provision models and support files. Keeping up to date with ongoing trends and changes to legislation that will affect the tax provision. Coordinate with external subject matter professionals as needed to ensure complex issues are appropriately accounted for in the tax provision. Coordinate with auditors for provision reviews as part of the year-end audit process. Tax Compliance Oversight: Liaise with external tax advisors to manage the preparation and filing of federal,international, state, and local income tax returns, including extensions and estimated payments. Assist with the preparation of tax return workpapers and supporting documentation. Preparation of estimated taxable income and cash tax payment models. Review tax return workpapers, supporting documentation, and final returns for accuracy and completeness. Ensure compliance with all reporting deadlines and tax law changes. Indirect / Non-Income Tax Ownership: Own and manage Sales & Use Tax, Property Tax, Business License & Franchise Taxes, and other non-income tax compliance obligations. Evaluate nexus and registration requirements, coordinate filings, and support internal process improvements and audits. Partner with AP, Legal, and external providers to ensure proper tax treatment and documentation of transactions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the Accounting, FP&A, and Legal teams to support business initiatives and ensure tax implications are considered in decision-making. Assist in special projects such as R&D tax credit studies, M&A tax due diligence, entity restructuring, and tax technology implementation. Process Improvement & Documentation: Establish and maintain strong internal controls over tax processes. Develop and document tax accounting policies and procedures to support scalability and audit readiness.

Performance Management: setting and managing goals, on-going coaching, corrective action, annual reviews, rewards/recognition, and team/individual development Employee Life Cycle Management: headcount forecasting, job descriptions, recruiting/hiring, termination Governance: ensuring compliance to company policy/practice (e.g. attendance, behavior, workplace attire), ensuring compliance to employment law (e.g. time keeping, anti-harassment and diversity) Leadership: ensures availability to staff, team building, building rapport with individuals, encouraging strong collaborative relationships between individuals and departments, facilitating a healthy work/life mix, solicits and applies feedback (internal and external to team), self-improvement as a leader/manager of people Culture Ambassador: proactively demonstrate and cultivate a culture of cooperative collaboration, strong work ethic, solutions-orientation, quality focus, results-orientation, relaxed/enjoyable atmosphere, team- and individual- celebration, and company/product pride
