AP Management entails review of all General Ledger account/schedules/aging reports that are affected by posting activity within the AP Department. AP Management will provide guidance to department personnel through metrics reporting and other analysis methods. AP Manager will focus on employee development initiatives through training and cross training efforts. Duties/Responsibilities
Daily
Attend to field requests for assistance/delegate/escalate as necessary Work with team on ongoing training, maintain training calendar Monitor service desk queues and assist in resolution when necessary Run posting programs & work with team on resolution of errors Assist with research of refund and other checks sent to AP Department for coding and receipt Communicate to the field and internally to resolve open items for processing, i.e., vendor admin, approvals, coding errors, COUPA setups, Solar Winds aging tickets. Work with team on aged open items. Coordinate/approve CorPay Payment files for processing Monthly
Preparation of monthly touchpoints, scheduling and presentation Preparation of monthly reports: Statement rec workbook Other reports as needed Schedule recurring training for all staff and field members - Host/assist/or monitor as necessary Coordinate month end close process with team Complete Workiva certifications As needed
Create and maintain training documents Project work on process improvements to raise standards and performance of all DSS AP departments Some travel to the field for training and communication as environment and regulations allow Assist with new hire interviews / decision making Requirements/Education/Preferences
Previous leadership experience in an Accounts Payable role Excellent communication skills with all levels of personnel Ability to anticipate needs and perform pro-actively Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, above average Excel skills Some college preferred Dealership experience with previous CDK DMS system highly preferred, will consider all candidates combination of experience, skills, and education.
