HII Mission Technologies is seeking a dynamic Logistics Manager to join our team in Norfolk, VA, supporting the Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE) contract. This pivotal role serves as the central point of coordination for logistics operations across 14 CONUS NITE locations, associated sublocations, and multiple OCONUS training sites. As the Logistics Manager, you will act as a key advisor to the NITE Program Manager and the Senior Management Team, providing strategic guidance on all matters related to Logistics and Government Property Management. You will play a critical role in ensuring seamless support across geographically dispersed sites, driving operational excellence and compliance throughout the program. What You Will Do: Develop and implement logistics and supply chain strategies that drive cost savings and operational efficiency across departments Lead the planning and execution of logistics policies, objectives, and initiatives to support program goals Supervise and guide logistics staff in daily operations, ensuring high performance and accountability Oversee project and departmental milestones, ensuring alignment with approved budgets and timelines Exercise full authority over logistics personnel decisions, including hiring, performance management, and development Maintain expert-level knowledge of logistics processes, procedures, and best practices Design and maintain logistics workflows that optimize product movement and reduce costs Manage vendor relationships, including selection, negotiation, distribution, transportation, and inventory control Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Contract Statement of Work (SOW) for all Logistics and Property Management functions under the NITE contract Lead Logistics Analysts and Supply Technicians across NITE sites to support customer objectives through accurate property tracking, receiving, issuing, shipping, preservation, and accountability-always prioritizing safety and quality Serve as a primary liaison between external Government customers and internal HII stakeholders Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies-local, state, federal, and international-to ensure regulatory compliance Ensure all personnel demonstrate proficiency in Government property management practices Apply expertise in the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) to support logistics operations Guarantee timely and compliant submission of all accountable property reports Maintain and update NITE Logistics Quality Management documentation to reflect current standards and procedures Willingness to travel up to 10% to various locations in support of program needs Perform additional duties as needed to support program execution and success What You Must Have: 8 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 6 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 12 years relevant progressive experience. Minimum 7 years' experience in logistics or a related field as an individual contributor At least 3 years of management or supervisory experience in logistics 2 years of hands-on experience using electronic supply chain or O&M IEMS tools Demonstrated expertise in logistics and procurement across multiple CONUS and OCONUS locations. Must be ITAR trained Exceptional verbal and written communications skills Strong organizational and time-management abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, Skilled in office management, multi-tasking, and analytical problem-solving Highly detail-oriented with a collaborative, team-focused approach Proven experience in property management, supply-chain management, and procurement operations Familiarity with the Federal Acquisitions Regulation (FAR), with emphasis on FAR Part 45, Government Property. Understanding of Government contracting processes and compliance Must possess a valid state driver's License Must hold and be able to maintain an active Secret Clearance Preferred Requirements: Formal logistics training (military, Government) or equivalent vocational school is a plus Formal instruction on Supply Chain Management is a plus Formal IEMS (Maximo) experience is a plus Physical Requirements: Job performance may require working in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level.
