Senior Java Developer

We’re seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our team in McLean, VA. The ideal candidate is a strong technical lead with over 5 years of Java development experience, proficient in modern frameworks, cloud platforms, and front-end technologies. This valued leader will guide end-to-end development initiatives and ensure successful delivery of robust, scalable applications. What You’ll Be Doing: Lead and execute end-to-end project development using Core Java and Spring Boot Design and develop microservices-based architecture Develop responsive user interfaces using Angular, Node.js, HTML, and CSS Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and defects Collaborate in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional teams Conduct proof of concept (POC) research and recommend new technologies Provide mentorship to junior developers and review code for quality and performance What We're Looking For: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field 5+ years of hands-on Core Java development experience (Java 8 or higher) Strong experience with Spring Boot and Microservices architecture Solid experience with front-end technologies including Angular and Node.js Experience working in AWS environments, including deploying applications and using core services Proven knowledge of Java EE, design patterns, and development best practices Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Willingness to work fully onsite in McLean, VA Equal Opportunity Employer: Revature (“Company”) is an equal opportunity employer.
