Responsibilities
Work with clients (small & large) from a variety of industries across the country, focused on technology, Internet law, crypto, privacy, IP, and complex commercial litigation. Handle complex commercial litigation for startups, venture capital funds, and tech companies, including regulatory investigations and enforcement actions from agencies such as the SEC, CFTC, DOJ, and state authorities Represent technology and crypto clients in complex conflicts, including founder and token disputes, and government investigations Handle class actions and high-stakes commercial disputes involving consumer protection, internet law, and platform liability Manage privacy and data security litigation, including breach response and statutory compliance cases (CCPA, CIPA, BIPA, CFAA) Lead intellectual property disputes involving trade secrets, copyright, trademark, patent, and online enforcement matters Support litigation involving AI technology, including copyright, product liability, and global data collection issues Work on speech-related and defamation cases, including matters involving Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act Draft pleadings and briefs, conduct research, and oversee discovery in complex, tech-centered litigation
Requirements
Bachelor's degree and J.D., with 2–6 years of litigation experience Active membership in good standing with the California Bar Experience at an AmLaw or mid- to large-size law firm Strong background in drafting pleadings and briefs, legal research, and managing discovery Interest or experience in technology, internet law, privacy, crypto, AI, and IP litigation Excellent academic record, superior writing and analytical skills, and a proactive, ownership-driven approach In-house litigation experience at a SaaS or tech company is a plus
