Synchrony Role Summary/Purpose: The AVP, Product Owner, OnePay is responsible for leading the strategy and execution of our API reliability, resilience, and innovation efforts. You will partner closely with OnePay and cross-functional stakeholders to define and prioritize initiatives that enhance our platform's performance and scalability. The role involves driving innovative solutions that meet partner needs while ensuring stability and growth. Responsibilities include: Prioritizing the product backlog for API reliability, resilience, and innovation, aligning with business goals. Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and co-create value-driven solutions. Designing scalable API solutions focusing on uptime, monitoring, and fault tolerance. Championing innovation and exploring creative approaches within regulatory and security standards. Managing API lifecycle from design to deprecation strategies. Communicating effectively across technical and non-technical audiences. Leading cross-functional teams to ensure sound product decisions. Driving continuous improvement in platform reliability and performance. Staying updated on API technologies and industry trends. Overseeing product development, defining user stories, and managing Agile processes. Traveling as needed to client and Synchrony locations for discovery and project meetings.

Qualifications: Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in relevant fields with 7+ years in product/project management. 4+ years in product/project management within financial services or technology industries. SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager Certification. Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools. Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to travel.

Preferred Characteristics: Experience in financial services, payments, or retail industries. Excellent relationship-building skills. Knowledge of data security standards. Creative, proactive, and customer-focused attitude.

Salary range: $90,000 - $155,000 annually, with eligibility for bonuses. Compensation varies based on experience and location. Eligibility: Must be 18+, legally authorized to work in the U.S., and willing to undergo background checks and drug testing. Internal posting restrictions apply based on tenure and performance.
