This position will be in either Bethesda, MD or McLean, VA. We are seeking a highly motivated System Administrator to join our National Intelligence Program to be at the forefront of complex enterprise IT initiatives. Job Description: This individual will play a crucial role in maintaining, upgrading, and managing our software, hardware, and networks. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting a large IT enterprise environment, ensuring high availability and performance of business-critical systems. The role requires a proactive approach, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong background in system administration. Qualifications Required Education: TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience. Desired Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph. Required: Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, supporting a complex enterprise environment. Strong understanding of and experience with server environments (Linux/Windows), virtualization technologies, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP). Ability to manage a secure and scalable infrastructure, balancing performance and resilience. Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar for automation. Excellent problem-solving skills with critical thinking abilities. Administer and maintain servers, storage, and network systems for reliable data services and analytics tools. Manage system requirements and configurations for data visualization platforms, ensuring high availability and performance. Monitor system performance, implement tuning strategies, and optimize resources proactively. Implement security measures, conduct regular patches, and ensure compliance standards are met. Provide troubleshooting support, offering timely solutions. Maintain documentation of systems architecture and procedures. Implement backup and disaster recovery plans. Stay current with emerging technologies to improve infrastructure. Desired: Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS SysOps, Azure Administrator, CompTIA Server+). Strong communication and teamwork skills.
