Security Monitor II, Community Corrections
who has a passion for providing the highest quality care in a residential setting. Come join a team dedicated to making an impact for the people and communities we serve. The Security Monitor II, Community Corrections is responsible for supervising the facility population, including safety, security, and sanitation. This role involves the care, custody, and control of residents, establishing a safe environment for staff, visitors, and residents. Additionally, this person will assist with mentoring, developing, and training team members. Monitor resident worker activities, provide necessary instruction, and apply standards and procedures for the completion and quality of work performed by residents, where applicable. Provide guidance to monitoring staff on shift. Ensure head counts are conducted and logged at predetermined times. Complete accountability calls within required time frames (e.g., home detention, social, work, and weekend pass). Conduct drug and alcohol testing as needed or directed by facility administration. Perform rescue functions during accidents, emergencies, and disasters, including administering basic emergency medical aid and CPR, removing people from dangerous situations, and securing and evacuating people from confined areas. Distribute food during late meal service. Qualifications High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required. At least one year of work experience, including six months in a security-related field. Experience in correctional management preferred. Supervisory experience preferred. California Adult Corrections Officer Core Course certification required. Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, and apply problem-solving techniques to complex issues. Complete pre-service and other required training programs.
