Our client is an well-established and respected desert manufacturer and distributor out of the Bay Area and for almost 50 years now, they have been producing award winning ice cream and frozen deserts.
Currently they are looking to bring on board an Accounting Manager with experience in the food & beverage industry who can work full time out of their office in Emeryville.

Responsibilities
As the Accounting Manager, you will be the financial leader overseeing manufacturing and cost accounting, general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, monthly close processes, and team leadership. Your role involves analyzing and optimizing production costs, ensuring accurate financial transactions, supervising payment processes, leading the monthly close with insightful financial analysis, and providing strategic financial guidance to the CEO. As a mentor, you will foster a high-performance work environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with organizational goals.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree
5+ years of accounting experience (focus on manufacturing and cost accounting)
Prior Experience Managing Direct Reports Is Required
Strong skills in general ledger management, reconciliation, and month-end close processes.
Detail oriented, solution oriented, a go-getter, flexible, and curious.
Strong communication skills are a must as well as strong initiative, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Experience In The Food Manufacturing Industry Is Highly Preferred.
Human resources experience is highly preferred
This role is full time, in-person in our office in Emeryville, CA with some flexibility considered on a case by case basis.
