Job Description
Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) Mission Technologies Warfare Systems partners with the DoD and defense innovation ecosystem to rapidly acquire and field critical and emerging technologies, particularly integrated communications, networking, and Systems-of-Systems (SoS) technologies, to enhance national security and warfighter capabilities. Through a multiagency contracting approach, the Collaborative Operations for Battlespace Resilient Architecture (COBRA) initiative focuses on advancing these technologies to achieve multi-domain battlespace integration and resilient command and control. This includes a broad range of services such as systems engineering, cybersecurity, operational integration, and data analytics, all aimed at modernizing communications and ensuring seamless information exchange for the DoD and its allies.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Supports Mission Partners by enabling expert input to the development of requirements for capabilities and/or the assessment and improvement of candidate COTS/GOTS capabilities. Leads development of techniques for research of all-source data and assists personnel in the planning, identification, and user perspective of intelligence tools. Gathers, relates, and identifies data with variables in models by applying personal judgment and mathematical tests. Reviews operations and testing of models for adequacy or determines need for reformulation. Analyzes operations methods, which requires substantial competence in the methods of scientific and mathematical inquiry and analysis. Prepares written, non-technical reports to management, indicating solutions or a range of possible alternatives in rank of desirability and probability of success when there is no single solution.
Minimum Qualifications
9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills Effective oral and written communication abilities
Preferred Requirements
Experience working in defense or intelligence environments Excellent communication and collaboration skills Relevant certifications are a plus (e.g., Security+, PMP)
